Sanwa Denshi JLX2-TP-8YT-SK joystick [2025]

Sanwa Denshi's new flagship joystick, the JLX2, is a further evolution beyond the prior iteration of the JLX. Sanwa Denshi introduced key design features to improve stability, smoothness and prevent rebound inputs. 

For the JLX2, the following improvements have been made:

• Use of the JLF P-5 black actuator (15.8mm) versus the JLF P-W white actuator (16.2mm) to regain the JLF response and feel some players say was missing from the JLX.
• Redesign of the metal washer and housing from a round to a cross shape to prevent rotational movement which will reduce input rebound and assist diagonal shaft traversal.

Full JLF upgrade parts compatibility exists with the JLX2, similar to the JLX. All previous design improvements of the JLX have been carried over to the JLX2. 

The same JLF/JLX incompatibilities exist such as:

• The JLX2 pivot is incompatible with the JLF.
• The JLX2 joystick body is incompatible with the JLF body.
• The JLX2 metal washer is incompatible with the JLF.
• Mixing combinations of parts will have poor frictional attributes and lead to rapid wearing (ie. JLF pivot and JLX2 body, JLF body and JLX2 pivot is not recommended)
